Abercrombie & Kent has launched “Africa: Across A Continent by Private Jet” (February 4-26, 2025), a new itinerary that spans seven countries and includes a new destination for the tour operator: Tunisia.

A small group of 48 guests will travel aboard A&K’s chartered Boeing 757 on an all-inclusive itinerary complete with insider access, wildlife viewing and fine dining. On the 23-day adventure, guests will discover Tunisia’s Roman ruins at Carthage and Dougga, as well as explore the winelands of South Africa, the mountain gorillas of Rwanda and “Big Five” of Kenya and Botswana. They will then learn about the ancient traditions of Benin and end with the medina of Marrakech.

Here are a few highlights of the included destinations:

  • Tunisia: Explore the ancient alleyways of the old medina of Tunis and the ruins of ancient Carthage, including its Antonine Baths and reconstructed Roman-era theater.
  • Kenya: Spend three days in the heart of the Masai Mara, observing the “Big Five,” visit a local Maasai village and community school, and, in Nairobi, meet rescued animals during a private visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where A&K will adopt an elephant on behalf of guests.
  • Rwanda: Come face to face with the endangered mountain gorillas and learn about conservation efforts during a talk with a gorilla doctor and a visit to the Dian Fossey Research Center, then enjoy a private visit to the Iby’iwacu Cultural Center for an in-depth immersion into traditional local culture.
  • Botswana: Search for wildlife in Chobe National Park by land and water and relax on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River, where there are more elephants than anywhere else in Africa.
  • South Africa: Begin with a visit to neighboring Victoria Falls and end with a relaxing evening at the Cape Grace Hotel overlooking the harbor. Explore the wine regions of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, enjoying lunch at one of the few Black women-owned wineries in the world.
  • Benin: Learn the secrets of African Vodun at an authentic private ceremony, then explore a village referred to as the “Venice of West Africa.”
  • Morocco: Stargaze into the vast desert skies above the Sahara Desert during a night at the secluded A&K Private Desert Camp, complete with a traditional performance by Gnaoua tribesmen, then explore the museums, markets and gardens of Marrakech.

Guests may personalize their journey with a choice of “Design Your Day” activities, including outdoor excursions, cultural encounters and wellness experiences. In Tunisia, guests can visit Sidi Bou Said and view its blue and white houses, explore the souks of Tunis, journey to the Roman City of Dougga, or relax at the hotel with a spa treatment or a round of golf.

Accommodations include the Angama Mara, overlooking Kenya’s Masai Mara, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest and Singita Kwitonda Lodge in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, as well as Chobe Game Lodge on the banks of Botswana’s Chobe River. The journey concludes at The Oberoi, Marrakech in North Africa.
